IFMA San Diego Chapter announced it has won the IFMA Award of Excellence in Web Design and Communication.

This national award represents the best-in-class in volunteer achievement and professional leadership. These outstanding individuals, teams and companies are raising the bar, and they’re inspiring their chapter members and other IFMA volunteers to reach for higher standards in the advancement of the Facility Management profession nationwide and Internationally.

IFMA San Diego credits David Suter, chair of the Communications Committee, and co-chair Donna Frick, Katie Blizzard, Karen Wujek and Glen Best for their efforts in making the IFMA San Diego website a success as a communication tool for the growing and expanding chapter and for the San Diego facility management community. Kate Mood was also credited for writing the organization’s third consecutive winning submission.

After unsuccessfully applying for this award in 2010, Suter and the team applied the feedback received from IFMA International and overhauled the chapter website and communications protocols. The team worked to get information published on the IFMA San Diego website and for AV support at luncheons.  It is this energetic and determined team that has provided our Chapter members with fresh information on our website, active social media communications and a responsive and involved Communications Committee.
